About

Yolovivi

YOLOVIVI was created to honor and share the art of spiritual healing. Rooted in ancestral traditions of African-American Rootwork, I weave somatic practices, sound healing, aromatherapy, crystal work, and grounding rituals into experiences that support harmony of body, spirit, and nervous system.

The name itself carries a blessing: YOLO—“You Only Live Once”—paired with the African word Lovivivi, meaning “love is sweet and ever-present.” Together they invite a life lived with intention, compassion, and connection.

As a social worker in training and wellness practitioner, my approach blends DBT-informed mindfulness, trauma-aware pacing, and transpersonal exploration.

From my home in the Sierra Nevada foothills, I offer these tools as an act of care—for myself, for my community, and for anyone seeking rooted, soulful support on their path.

YOLOVIVI Rooted Healing Collective is the community branch of my work—a nonprofit space created to make holistic healing more accessible, culturally honoring, and grounded in social justice. As a social worker  I understand healing through a person-in-environment lens. Trauma, racism, poverty, displacement, and ecological stress all affect wellbeing.

Our mission is simple:
create safe soil where people can grow.

This collective offers programs that integrate traditional therapy concepts with complementary practices. Through workshops, community circles, sliding-scale services, and wellness education, we aim to support emotional regulation, resilience, and meaningful connection—especially for communities historically excluded from traditional wellness spaces.

Rooted Healing Collective honors the belief that healing happens in relationship: with self, community, ancestors, and earth.
